Email Marketing: Text or HTML

It's been a long time debate on whether text email or HTML email work better when sending out newsletters or company collateral. You will even find contradicting information and studies that have been published.

One thing to consider when exploring both options is that HTML emails are not only aesthetic pleasing and often easier to read, but with HTML emails you have the ability to measure your marketing metrics. This is something not available when using text emails. I think Debbie Weil says it best in her article "The Dirty Secret of HTML vs. Text E-newsletters..."
