My most popular seminar is called Solution Positioning; it teaches companies how to sell to the needs of the consumer. This week I've had the opportunity to experience the success of this type of marketing first hand. Let me explain. I'm suffering from a chest cold; you know the kind that makes your chest, your head and your body ache. Have you ever noticed how many television commercials sell to these aches and pains? So while you lay there in misery all you can hear about how relief is only one product away. It makes you want to get out of bed and not walk but run to the drugstore.
