Ad:Tech and the Savvy Exhibitor's Secret Weapon

Monday April 23, 2007
Tomorrow I'm headed to Ad:Tech in New York. I must admit that I'm excited to attend the largest interactive marketing conference and meet some of my colleagues and network with others in the industry. I'm in hopes that since we are not displaying this year that I'll have a chance to walk the trade show floor and browse the exhibitors. I've been to so many trade shows in my 10 years in marketing that honestly I'm hoping to be surprised. We all know that after awhile trade shows all the look the same; especially within the same industry.

I walk the floor for two reasons. The first is to check out companies that are up and coming and secondly to see what the more seasoned companies are doing.

If you are displaying at Ad:Tech or any other tradeshow in the upcoming months I think you'll find the guest article by Susan Friedmann entitled The Secret Weapon Every Savvy Exhibitor Should Use informative and useful.

I hope to see many of you at Ad:Tech. If you are there look me up and say hello. I'll be walking around the numerous booths and of course attending the evening social networking activities.

Laura Lake; The nick name of the southern part of San Francisco Bay that is, called “Silicon Valley” was my idea suggested by me several years ago in Aberdeen, Wa. to a marketing scout who operated in that area at that earlier date in time.
