“Focus On Your Title” should come first in my book. We live in an age of distraction and multi-tasking. We know what we are all about, but the outside world generally knows nothing about us. They depend on our working and honing a clear title that tells them what we have to offer in as straightforward a way as possible.

I try to test my blog and website titles on people I know: are they clear, fat-free, direct and to the point? A lot of times, other people will give you important clues that your communications style is not as direct as it could be.

The good marketer is always willing to push pride aside and respect how others look at things.
