Does Your Company Name Work for You or Against You?

If we've heard it once, we've heard it twice - due to the economy and loss of jobs more individuals are exploring the entreprenuer route and starting their own businesses; I for one think this is exciting. I do however see so many skilled and talented people start companies and start them off with the wrong company name.

How do you know if you have chosen the right company name? I've put together some guidelines on how to not only create a great business name, but how to also put the company name you've chosen to the test.

A company name is one of the core pieces of branding your company, so make sure you are getting off to a great start by take a few minutes to put your company name to the test.

well,surely a good brand name can add a lot to a company’s success.
it begins with careful review of the company product and services,its target market and its marketing strategy.

Yes. The company name is the 01st contact point with its customers. Its create overall image at once in the customers mind.

Hence the name of the company should be align with its offrerings(Portfolio), Target gruop, and various stakholders/groups to run the extra miles in the mind of the above groups.

We recently renamed the company as we added new services and the original name was no longer suitable. The process of choosing a new name without losing the brand equity in the existing name was difficult and time consuming. Branding is an ongoing process and needs to be continually worked at!

A company’s name is as important as the products and services to be offered. Really, what kind of name should give to a prospective company offering public relations, media and event services?
