Social Media Marketing 7 Day Online Crash Course

Sunday September 13, 2009

There is a lot of talk about social media and so many businesses are unsure of how to begin using it or even deciphering if it’s right for them.

It's important to realize that social media marketing works best when integrated with other components of your marketing. You will want to use it to drive potential consumers to your website, where you have an established presence online. You can also use social media in conjunction with traditional advertising mediums, like Television commercials, print ads and/or radio spots that you use in your marketing strategy, by driving potential consumers to your social media presence online.

The key to social media and the most important thing to realize is that it's not about having a megaphone to shout about your products and services, but rather to interact and engage with potential customers; by doing this you will see them be drawn to your business naturally.

Are you confused about social media marketing? Do you question whether or not it's right for your business? I understand.

Wow! What a great resource for marketers trying to learn more about social media. We have been offering custom design pages and social media strategy to our clients who are trying to navigate this new medium, and some could certainly use a useful crash course.
I have found one of the best social media marketers to be Shawna Vercher and her team at the VTi-Web Group. She is one of the leaders in this industry, and if you can get a hold of her schedule to see her speak you can learn a lot.
Good Luck!
