Job Description: A Public Relation Specialist prepares and disseminates information regarding an organization through newspapers, periodicals, television and radio and other forms of media.They are responsible for PR activities within communications departments of larger organizations, and responsibilities are similar to what account executives handle within PR agencies. Responsibilities include writing press releases, speeches or op-ed pieces, planning special events, representing their company at press conferences and trade shows, tracking trends, and looking for opportunities to receive media coverage.
Average Salary: Average salary is $35,946. It's reported that more than 50% of Public Relation Specialist earn between $31,764 and $39,886.
Education/Experience Requirements: A Bachelors degree with 0-2 years of field experience.
