Twitter: A Marketing Tool?
Tuesday October 7, 2008
If you not heard about Twitter I have to ask where you have been. Not to worry, let me try to help. Twitter is one of the fast growing online platforms that is being used for communication and conversation. Twitter is has over 1 millon users and broadcasts over 3 million messages everyday. It can be used as a marketing tool, but you must do it right by following the Twitter etiquette in order to be effective. Let me show you how to use Twitter as a marketing tool for your businees.

Good examples. I agree that Twitter can be a powerful tool if used properly, but I don’t like it when companies just show an rss feed from there blog. That tells me they’re not taking time to learn about what the community is all about.
I use over 80 marketing channels to promote my business and that of my clients. Just like Twitter most of them are free.
I haven’t tried Twitter yet but I can see it being marketing channel #81 before the end of the day.
Twitter has worked well for our travel site. The visitors from our “test” twitter channel stayed and engaged with the website better than normal visitors. See the case study on the blogurl(click my name).
Twitter works well as a passive marketing tool.
