It's difficult to measure your return on investment when it comes to Twitter. We send out links and we always wonder if anyone is really sharing our tweets. How do you know if what you are tweeting is of interest to others?

Backtweets isn't rocket science, but it sure is handy. I found this tool a couple of weeks ago and I have enjoyed using it, so I'm sure you will also find that it carries value.

What is Backtweets?

Backtweets lets you search for links on Twitter. The great thing is it supports regular links and short URLS. You can get realtime updates and even subscribe via email and RSS. There is also an API available.

Now, you no longer have to wonder if anyone is sharing links to your website or retweeting your links - you can just use BackTweet.

A note to Wordpress users - there is also a BackTweet Wordpress plugin and widget that will publish the best tweets that link to your posts.

Your turn: Have you tried BackTweets? What do you think? Will you use it on a continual basis?

What the heck is Twitter? Still trying to gain an understanding of Twitter? I've got an answer for you. Participate in the Twitter Online Bootcamp and learn how to start using Twitter in 10 days. It's free and you won't regret it - that's a promise!
