Marketing Book Review - The Referral Engine by John Jantsch
We know that referral marketing works. Why? Customers that come to you because someone has referred them already have a certain level of trust in your or the product or service that you offer. This is really Marketing 101, but how do you get those referrals? This is where businesses get a little uneasy. That's why I love this book. John Jantsch shows you step-by-step how to build your referral business and it takes work, but it's much easier than you thought - I promise.

The Pros:

  • Easy and enjoyable to read.
  • Plan of action - included.
  • Applicable today.

The Cons:

  • It's not John Jantsch in person doing the wrok for you, so you will still have to do some work in order for the strategies in the book to work for your business.
  • Love the workshop at the end of the book, but I do wish the companion website had more checklists or printable guides.

Description

  • A great resource for building a system that generates referral marketing.
  • You can use it as a step-by-step guide and know that you are learning from one of the gurus of referral marketing, John Jantsch.
  • A plethora of suggestions and tactics that can work for any type of business.

Laura's Marketing Book Review: The Referral Engine

I must be honest, I have met John Jantsch in person. His energy and his knowledge go way beyond many authors in today's marketing genre. This is one book I would not want to be without and I can say that because I have a walk-in closet that stores many marketing titles. I love John's approach and the way he gives us a plan of action and guidance to succeed in one of the biggest areas of marketing - referral marketing. We often forget to ask for referrals and this book shows you how to do it and not only in a tactful way, but in a way that will help you in ultimately growing your business.

Every marketer needs this book in their library, but don't just put it on a shelf put it to use. You'll be glad you did.
