Have you written an article regarding marketing that you feel could benefit the About Marketing audience? Articles listed on About.com are seen by thousands of viewers each day. Having your article published on the Marketing site on About could provide you with great exposure and recognition. The Marketing site here at About is seeking to publish well-written and informative articles pertaining to the topics in the table on the right hand side of this screen.

Writer's Guidelines

Topics: We are currently looking for articles that pertain to the topics in the table on the right hand side of this screen. The level of the Marketing viewers range anywhere from small business marketing to corporate sectors interested in analytics and current market trends.

Format: Pieces published are generally under 2,000 words in length. They are formatted with the best online features including many sub-headings and lists of relevant tips. Supporting material and links to Web sites that expand the topic are welcome. Articles focus on "what you need to know" content.

Editing: The Marketing Guide reserves the right to edit your submission for clarity, style, and format. You will not have final review rights before your article is published. If you read through the site, you will find that all authors have been well-served in this editing process.

Payment: About Marketing is not a paying market. In writing an article for About Marketing, your blog or personal website will receive an increase in the number of visitors. Think of it as a free form of advertising and exposure. All authors receive a brief biographical sketch that includes links to your Web site and your email. This is published with your article.

Author Rights: If you are submitting a potential feature article, we request exclusive worldwide electronic rights to publish the article at the About Marketing site for thirty days. About.com and Laura Schneider, Marketing Guide, retain non-exclusive rights after thirty days to archive your article on the site and all other rights as stated in the disclaimer below, which you must submit to be published. At no point do you lose your rights to your work.

If you have written an article that you feel is perfect for the site and it has been published elsewhere online, please email the Guide. If the distribution has been narrow, your piece might still merit consideration for publication here.

Submission: Use this form to submit content and material for consideration or follow the email instructions below the form. If you do not hear from the Guide within five working days, please send email to the Guide to make sure your submission was received.
